The new Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac is now available, offering Windows virtualization that boots 41 percent faster and offers 3D graphics that run 30 percent faster than before.
The new Parallels Desktop 6 boosts speeds when working with files on USB drives, networks and in shared folders.
The update packs more than 80 new and enhanced features, and the company has declared it the "best Windows on Mac experience yet.
Step 1: Mount (double click) the DMG file.
Step 2: If you have Parallels Desktop installed, run Uninstall.app or CleanMyMac to remove.
Step 3: Run PD6 Cleaner & License Reset.app
Step 4: Run Hosts File Updater.app
Step 5: Install Parallels Desktop.
Step 6: Run Parallels Desktop and activate with the serial
Step 7: Have fun!
Note:
Serial key is inside the .dmg
It is always NOT recommended to register because it allows them to track the serial number used.
I would suggest uninstalling the entire thing, including settings and reinstall parallels desktop thereafter. Hope everything is fine.
For the ones with the key disablement problem just do the following :
1). Add these lines to /etc/hosts :
# Block Parallels Activation
127.0.0.1 parallels.com
127.0.0.1 registration.parallels.com
127.0.0.1 update.parallels.com
127.0.1.1 pd6.blist.parallels.com
2). Apply the patch and reboot your computer.
3). Restart Parallels Desktop and re-activate with this serial number :
